A lightweight BitTorrent client for PC
LIII is a free and open-source BitTorrent client that was developed by aliakseis for PC devices. This fast and lightweight file-sharing program allows users to download various forms of media and files through torrent and magnet links. It features a clean and simple user interface that is easy to navigate and use.
Much like other similar clients like qBittorrent, LIII works straight out of the box, and is it does not require a lot of system resources to be able to function properly. It supports both .torrent and .magnet file types and will begin your downloads immediately after adding them to your queue.
If you've used other torrent clients before, LIII works pretty much the same way as they do. When you first open it, the program will ask permission to associate itself with .torrent and .magnets files, which you can allow. As a result, these types of files will automatically be added to and downloaded by the client when you double-click them.
LIII will list down all your torrent for easy monitoring and management. You have buttons to Start, Pause, or Stop your downloads, as well as a button to manually add new torrent files or link. It also provides you with additional information about your files, such as the Name, Status, Transfer Speeds, Progress, and File Size.
In addition, the settings menu will let you change various parameters, including global bandwidth limits, the number of concurrent downloads, and setting specific ports and proxy servers. That pretty much covers everything that LIII offers and there are no other features and options available. As such, some users will consider it rather limited compared to other similar torrent clients.
All in all, LIII is a simple and straightforward program for downloading and sharing files. It is easy to use, has enough features and options for most users, and it just works straight out of the box. If you are looking for a fast and lightweight torrent client, this is a good and reliable option to consider.
